At the heart of our mission is the dedication to preserving the God-given inheritance of liberty by teaching the Biblical principles from which it grows. Founded in 1976 by the late Dr. Marshall Foster and his wife Trish, who continues to work on all his unfinished materials, the World History Institute has been a beacon of Christian-focused education for decades, committed to sharing the profound insights of Biblical principles of liberty.
Our Mission Continues:
Inherit, Instill, Inspire
Inherit: We are dedicated to exceptional historical research, preservation, and scholarship. Research and preservation are at the core of our mission as we pass down the powerful ideas that have sustained liberty through the ages, beginning with the Hebrew Republic and moving through the great chain of faith and Western Civilization.
Instill: We are committed to excellence in curriculum development and publishing. Education from a Christian worldview is an essential component of building a free and flourishing society. Our goal is to complete 9 unit study programs over the next few years – all to be made available for free download on our site. We need your financial help to complete these and make them as accessible and approachable as possible for the younger generation.
Inspire: We are eager to plan formative community-building experiences such as campfire meetings, library events, and fellowships. We plan these in the hope of Washington’s words: “Freedom, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth.” Once our unit studies are completed, we hope to launch an in-person curriculum plan for 3 day Liberty camps here in Tennessee that can be replicated across the globe, using Dr. Marshall Foster’s book, the American Covenant, as a launchpad for learning.
